WHY:                          To raise awareness and funds to help feed those with food insecurity with healthy, fresh food and provide nutrition education to adults, children, and the community.

The mission of the organization is to provide healthy farm-to-table food to those in need through production, education, and research. The Harvest for the Hungry vision is to partner the need for wholesome food with an interactive and educational visit to the farm. Those in need and those who simply want to join our mission as volunteers can harvest fruits, vegetables, eggs, fish, and other healthy foods themselves while learning about food sources and their nutritional value. We share how to prepare healthy food from each harvest during special programs. Our goal is to offer an experiential visit that allows for agriculture and nutritional education and empowerment
