Did you know that the city of Freeport was established by a sulfur mining company? Visit the Freeport Historical Museum on November 16th to learn about mining sulfur, the beginning of Freeport, and to see artifacts over a century old that are from Freeport’s founding!
The indoor sandbox lets children play with yellow kinetic sand, or “sulfur,” and use artifacts that the Freeport Sulphur Company originally used to make sulfur paper weights!
Fun and educational for the whole family!
